Todd H. Smith - His business plans have a very high success ratio and they have helped clients raise well over $100 million dollars. He has served clients from pure startups to Fortune 500 companies.

"I find the oportunity to participate in the BioForum to be interesting on a number of fronts. Personaly, it combines my passion for entrepreneurship, finance, and international business into one event, which is something I haven't experienced often in my career. Secondlu, I see it as a learning opportunity to find out about technology development in another part of the world. And finally, I believe it opens doors to commercialize exciting overseas technologies in the US market. I believe there is an ignorrance in the U.S. about biotech developments in Europe as a whole, which I think creates an opportunity for parties who showcase such technologu in the U.S."

Dr Janusz Boratyński - Head of Biomedical Chemistry Laboratory, Ludwik Hirszfeld Institute of Immunology & Experimental Therapy.

The advantages of BioForum I present in realtion to the Institute of Immunology and Experimental Therapy in Wroclaw, which I work in. Participation of Beata Weber-Dąbrowska, PhD, has resulted in advancement in bacteriophage purification methods. Joanna Wietrzyk, PhD, initiated cooperation with new partners expoiting research potential of her laboratory in the area of experimental oncology. From my point of virew, the cooperation with Adamed, which I started on BioForum, brought development of research on conjugates of kinase inhibitors with carriers. Additionally, we managed to develop technology of eliminating toxins from bacteriophage preparations and patented it in national and international procedure. Summing up, open form of the BioForum event concentrating scientists and businessmen is an important action supporting biotechnology development.

Maciej Wieczorek CEO Celon Pharma Ltd.

For me and my organization Bioforum is primary source of data concerning growth of biotechnological market in Central and Eastern Europe. Participation of both academic institutions and biotech companies in it, makes Bioforum an ideal place as a starting point in technological transfers. As a result of participation in Bioforum in years 2005-2008 we have signed a few fruitfull collaborative afreements. Strongly recommend.

Frank Graage - head of Steinbeis Team Nordost, Steinbeis-Forschungszentrum Technologie-Management Nordost.

The workshop will provide insight into the possibilities scientist have to benefit from their research results and get an idea which way of commercialization might be useful for their specific situation. Also the workshop will raise awareness regarding the importance to think of intellectual property issues already in the early research phase. [...] All the new eastern European EU member states have a solid scientific basis and thus a great potential also to develop to biotech industries. It just needs some more investement in the technology transfer process and awareness among the scientific community and financing tools for start up and growth of SMEs.

Tadeusz Pietrucha - CEO Bio-Tech Consulting Ltd.

"The mission of BioForum is to link and integrate regional biotech communities of Central Europe with key players of the global biotech industry. BioForum annually gathers research and key industry players, who present their potential and areas for cooperation. All in one place and at the same time to maximize networking efficiency.
I strongly believe that direct contacts and face to face business interaction are much more effective in creating opportunities for the developing biotech industries of Central Europe compared to official, centralized initiatives. In order to join the ranks of modern biotechnology, we – the biotech community of Central Europe - have to transform our enthusiasm, determination and knowledge into tangible success rated in economic terms. Benefiting from experiences of more developed industries, this can be achieved much faster and better.
I hope that through your participation and engagement, BioForum will contribute further to bridging the biotech communities of Central Europe with the global industry, converting  the vast potential into innovation and profitable ventures."
