About Piotr Borowicz:
Chemist, graduate of the University of Warsaw (1970), Ph.D. on the Technical University of Warsaw (1984).
Committed to the development of  biotechnology for medical and pharmaceutical industry.
Cofounder of the Polish recombinant human insulin - Gensulin.  
For it's technology, along with the team from the Institute of Biotechnology and Antibiotics and the Bioton company, he was honoured with the Polish President's Economic Award in the year 2001 in the category of the best invention in the field of "product/technology".

About Aline Seilly: 
Chemical Engineer and Oenologist, Aline Seilly joined Millipore in 1989 after she worked 2 years in Autralia and in the US in both the wine and the pharmaceutical industry. Starting as a System Engineer within the Millipore Bioprocess division, she gradually moved at the European level to the position of Application Engineer, Training and Application Manager and serves today as a European Technology Manager since June 2001. 
In her role Aline is responsible for the technology support of Tangential Flow filtration and Chromatography in both hardware and expendable. As group leader of 7 members she helps the European sale force to achieve Millipore business on a service, application and product point of view.

After his diploma he did his doctorate at the Max-Planck-Institute for Molecular Genetics in Berlin on the genetic basis of antibiotic resistance in pathogenic bacteria. 
Following his patent attorney trainee period in Berlin and Munich, he worked in the biotechnology department of a large US-patent law firm in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.

Heinrich Cuypers (HC) is managing the "Contact Office BioRegio Greifswald-Rostock" as part of the BioCon Valley initiative in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany. 
The office was initiated in 1996 by the German Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Economics of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, and the BioTechnikum Greifswald as a contribution to the German BioRegio-Initiative to enhance the commercial application of modern Life Sciences in the region. 
He is responsible for the organisation of the regional life science network
(www.bioregio.org) and since May 2001 CEO of the new BioCon Valley e. V.
HC is member of the board of several regional life science associations in biotechnology and agrobiotechnology.
